Jill D. Swenson, author of The Land of Everlasting Sky: A Memoir of Loss and Legacy on Lake of the Woods, will be in conversation with Don Kakaygeesick, great-grandson of the Ojibway medicine man known as “Everlasting Sky” at the Warroad Public Library, on July 9 at 6:30 pm.

Jill brilliantly weaves the history of her own Swedish family's immigrant history along side the Kakaygeesick family's history. Jill and Don have become friends through her research and their dialogs are always fascinating and insightful.
